Apprenticeships enable you to carry out a genuine job whilst studying for a formal qualification. They provide you with the perfect combination of hands-on experience - and a salary - whilst also studying at college.
When you undertake an apprenticeship, at least 20% of your time will be set aside for learning, with the remainder of your time at work. They can last anywhere between one and four years, and are available from Level 2 (GCSE equivalent) right up to Level 7 (degree level) across a huge range of industries including Nursing, IT, Construction and Engineering.聽Higher and degree apprenticeships are available at 色漫天堂 at Levels 4-6. Levels 4 and 5 are equivalent to a HNC/Diploma or a Foundation Degree, and Level 6 is equivalent to a Bachelor鈥檚 Degree.
色漫天堂 works with over 400 local employers to deliver a wide range of high-quality apprenticeship programmes across Devon to develop industry-specific skills, delivered by qualified tutors and experienced practitioners.
Apprenticeships are a fantastic route to employment and a long-term career path - with more than 90% of apprentices staying on in their role after their apprenticeship has ended.
Whilst many apprentices are school leavers and young people, there is no upper age limit. If you鈥檙e over 16, living in England and not in full-time education then an apprenticeship could be perfect for you!

色漫天堂 has a key role to play in providing you with your off-the-job training, assessing your progress towards achieving your qualifications and supporting you generally during your apprenticeship. We鈥檒l work closely with your employer to ensure that you receive:聽
- an induction programme on starting.
- a detailed training plan (including on-the-job training).
- regular progress reviews.
- opportunities to put into practice off-the-job learning so that you can achieve your qualifications/requirements of the apprenticeship.
- mentoring and general support throughout your apprenticeship.
- This will all be documented in a commitment statement that is part of the Apprenticeship Agreement - an individual learning plan that 色漫天堂, your employer and you will all sign up to.
